Helen Kopec fell in love with radio as a kid, growing up in Toronto and listening to CFRB's “Starlight Serenade” every night, dreaming of someday becoming a professional symphony cellist.

In a career spanning four decades, Helen has performed with orchestras all over North America, including the Calgary Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony, Alabama Symphony and orchestras in Savannah, Charleston and throughout the South. During her 17 years in Atlanta, GA, she was privileged to share the stage with renowned artists such as Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Harry Connick Jr., and many others. She also cut her radio teeth at Peach State Public Radio, WGKA and WMLB, “The Voice of the Arts in Atlanta.” She now makes her home in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, and is thrilled to have found a new broadcasting home with Niagara Community Radio.

Klezmer, Celtic, Cabaret and more: Itzak Perlman with the Klezmer Conservatory Band, Irish flute virtuoso Seamus Egan and the incomparable Josephine Baker are just a few of Episode 2's featured artists.
